All instructors of clubs in this Association are required to pay an Association club fee of £30.00 each year.

Individual member insurance is necessary and as we are members of the English Karate Federation, the license fee for all Association members is now £11.50 per student or instructor. Please note that this is the Association membership and insurance and is independent of club membership. We need the full names, addresses and dates of birth of all who wish to be insured. This is actioned through club instructors in liaison with Sensei Mick Pappas.

The Association relies on these fees to fund it's expenses which include Directors' and Officers' Liability insurance, Public Liability insurance with Member to Member cover, Personal Accident insurance, Membership to the EKF and general administration costs. More information can be found in the members area.

A warm hello and a prosperous 2010 to everyone.

We have a few interesting events happening this year, including the Uechi - Ryu championships that Sensei Dean Lowe and Sensei Kuda Adams are organising and which will take place on 11th April 2010 in South London.

We are also bidding farewell to Sensie Paul Natzyl who will be establishing his own association. The following paragraph is taken from his recent email to the Association board members : I wish you and all of the board members success and hope that we are able to continue friendship with each other through our common interest. I'm sure that Paul will welcome any Uechi-RYu practitioner at his dojo as we have always done (and will continue to do) within this Association - good luck Paul and thank you for your input to the Association over the years.

If anyone would like any further information, please don't hesitate to email me or any of the other instructors or board members and we'll be glad to help.

Best wishes to everyone, Mick
